I FEEL THE SAME WAY.....BUT THEM I WAS STRONG MINDED, TOO. I WOULD THINK IT HAD TO BE DONE MY WAY OR IT WAS WRONG.........I WASN'T CONCERNED ABOUT THE OTHER PERSON FEELINGS OR THOUGHTS. THE MISTAKES I MADE...... BUT, I DID FEEL LIKE, ALL I AM IS A WIFE AND A MOTHER.........WHAT ABOUT ME????
I AM NOW REALIZING WHO I AM AND WHAT I WANT......HOW MY FAMILY IS FIRST. BUT I DO TAKE TIME FOR MYSELF........JUST LIKE MY FAMILY HAS THEIR OWN INTEREST. WE STILL HAVE OUR UPS AND DOWNS. SO FULL OF CHANGES.........

Brin I found your journal off of Gina's - I could relate to so much of what you were saying - on my 32nd birthday I asked my husband for a divorce - I said it as a wise A joke, but one that I meant deep down inside - he looked at me and said "Ok". Things had been getting pretty bad for years - his drinking was on the brink of becoming dangerous - and he had basically been in the marriage in body only since the kids were born. So there I was - a mom of small children and basically low in the skill pool since I had quit my career to have my children. It was the scariest time of my life - not for me, but how on earth was I going to do right by these kids!
ReplyDeleteI feel for you and hope it's ok if I stop back from time to time to check on both you and Gina <g> it's an amazing thing to watch a woman blossom out of necessity - and that is what you both are going to do!

I just wrote an entry about a week ago in regard to us Mothers taking time for ourself, it was called Title. I am not ashamed to say I absolutely think every woman, Mother, needs to find herself, honor herself and NOT put the burden of only being a Mom on theirselves.

I saw Gina's entry about this. It's so true...we need time for ourselves. Always putting everyone first. Its bound to take its toll, right???
